Hen party guide and FAQs

We know that organising a hen party can be a tricky job. But don’t panic! We’re here to help!

Madame Peaches essential guide to planning a perfect hen party:

1. It can be hard to find activities that really appeal to everyone. As they say; “You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time” (actually, it was Abraham Lincoln and it was ‘fool’ not ‘please’ but now we’re just getting too clever for our own good). Our point is (yes, there is one, be patient) that you should please the bride-to-be. It’s her day. All about her. Totally. Completely. 100% focused on her. Point made?

2. Your top questions. Who does the bride want to invite? What is the rough budget? (can 56 of her closest friends really afford that cruise and weekend in Milan?) Does the bride want to be kept in the loop? Will she really be pleased about a naked hunk asking her to rub baby oil on his pecs? (we would be, but it’s not about us is it?) Does the bride have family that she has to invite? Would she appreciate a couple of different activies that encompass everyone who needs to be invited?

3. Whilst you don’t want your weekend to run like a military boot camp (whistles, registers and scheduled loo breaks) you do want to make sure that you’re organised; so ensure you have given yourself plenty of time to make all the arrangements. As the saying goes (we just love sayings) “If you fail to plan – you plan to fail!” If you’re really feeling the pressure, delegate, delegate and delegate some more!

We have also put together a list of the most common questions that we have been asked here at Peach Towers. We hope this helps! If you still have a question, please call us for a chat.

Additional Options

What do I wear?

Ladies are positively encouraged to dress up in the style of the party! Great fun, great for the photos and great for getting noticed out on the town! Just make sure that your clothes are comfortable enough to move in!

For Burlesque, wear something you feel sexy and confident in. It’s a great opportunity to get dolled up with heels, suspenders, lippy and lashes! It seems to us you can just wear jeans every wear nowadays. What’s happened to good old fashioned glamour, that’s what we want to know?!…grumble, grumble.

For Pole dancing less is more! The shorter the shorts, the better the grip you will get on the pole. Bring trainers and joggers/leggings for your warm up. We don’t mind you keeping them on if you’re feeling shy! Don’t forget your heels! Top tip: round toe are best so you don’t catch the pole. Please don’t wear hand/body lotion – definitely not a good idea!

We advise ladies to keep their shoes on throughout their session.

How many poles are used for a pole party?

Each of our venues has either 1-4 poles depending on the size of the group, which is the perfect amount to balance health & safety and fun & fitness. Obviously it is imperative that the teacher is able to sufficiently supervise each student when they are on the poles and our 1.5 hour classes mean that there is more than enough time to learn and practice all your new moves and tricks.

Are there changing facilities?

All parties are done in private function rooms where you are free to get changed. As well as this, all venues have toilets that can also be used.

Can some guests just come along and watch?

Of course! Thank goodness, someone else to help us take all the photos! Hurrah.

Please just let the office know at the time of booking

Can men come along?

Of course! We wouldn’t dream of excluding them. All of our classes however, are a man free zone!

Can I pay on the day?

Unfortunately we can’t take any payments on the day. All payments need to be processed through the office and we can’t allow our teachers to take payments.

My Mother-In-Law is coming along – what party should I book!?

Firstly – don’t panic! What better way of getting to know your new relatives? You never know, Auntie Eileen might just be a natural on the pole and Grandma Flo, a speed nipple tassel twirler…? Ok, ok, we get where you are coming from. If you aren’t quite sure how to please everyone, we think our quick guide will help you out.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

No. You can’t bring your own alcohol, but depending on the venue there may be a bar where you can purchase drinks. We know that you are in the party spirit and want to be drinking the spirits and whilst we most certainly want you to have fun… if you are a little worse for wear, for your safety and that of our teacher – we may not be able to go ahead with your party. Please drink in moderation! Please see our terms and condi tions for full details

Do I have to be 18?

Madame Peaches customers have to be 16 years old to participate in a party, however as many of the venues that we use require customers to be 18+, if you do have any guests who are under 18, you must mention this at the time of booking so that we can be sure to book an appropriate venue for you.

Who will be teaching my party?

Our teachers are fully trained, insured and have years of experience! Our main priority is that your party is a fantastic experience for you and your guests. Teachers are friendly, professional and able to put you at your ease!

Can the teacher come to my venue?

This can be arranged. We would arrange for two teachers to take the party and therefore an additional cost would be applicable. Call/email us for more details.

I have pre-existing medical condition/s. Can I take part?

This will highlight any potential problems and you can discuss this with your teacher in more details before beginning you party. Pole Party is not suitable for pregnant ladies. I’d like to come to pole classes but I’m scared!

Don’t be. It’s completely natural to feel a little apprehensive before your first pole class. Remember, you won’t be the only one! Our teachers have years of experience working with new students and will soon put you at your ease. You can expect to feel a little bit sore – especially after your first few classes, as you will be using muscles you probably haven’t used in a while. You can also expect the odd bruise, but most of our students say it’s well worth it when they experience the thrill of mastering a new move. As people learn in different ways, we approach our teaching style in a variety of ways to ensure we find a what works best for you. Students often find that the move that has been eluding them one week, suddenly falls into place the following week, so don’t worry if you don’t get something straight away, or if you make a mistake – it’s all part of the learning process!
